Pendidikaninklusif memberikan kesempatan kesempatan kepada semua peserta didik yang memiliki kelainan dan memiliki potensi kecerdasan dan/atau bakat istimewa untuk mengikuti pendidikan atau pembelajaran dalam lingkungan pendidikan secara bersama-sama dengan peserta didik pada umumnya.
Selama ini, Anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) mendapat pendidikan khusus juga di sekolah khusus yg disebut juga SLB. Dengan adanya label khusus tersebut menjadikan anak tersebut terasingkan dilingkungan sosialnya. Seperti ada tembok eksklusif yg tidak disadari terbentuk.
Tembok eksklusifisme tersebut tidak disadari menghambat proses saling mengenal antara anak biasa dengan yg berkebutuhan khusus, akibatnya dalam interaksi sosial tersebut menjadikan anak berkebutuhan khusus otomatis tereliminasi dalam lingkungan pertemanan “normal” mereka.
Dengan adanya sekolah umum yang menerapkan sistem pendidikan inklusif, menjadikan anak berkebutuhan khusus bisa sekolah normal seperti anak pada umumnya dan mendapatkan pembelajaran sesuai kurikukum yang berlaku. Penyelenggaraan pendidikan khusus juga diberlakukan untuk meningkatkan angka partisipasi anak berkebutuhan khusus serta membangun karakter, nilai dan norma bagi semua peserta didik agar anak berkebutuhan khusus tidak dipandang sebelah mata lagi di masyarakat. Mereka juga berhak ikut belajar dan berpartisipasi dalam kehidupan sekitar.
Beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan sekolah umum yang menerapkan program pendidikan inklusif, diantaranya adalah :
- Sekolah umum menyediakan kondisi kelas yang aman, nyaman, ramah, menerima keberagaman dan lingkungan yang menghatgai perbedaan
- Sekolah umum harus siap mengelola kelas yang heterogen dengan menerapkan kurikulum dan pembelajaran yang bersifat individual
- Guru dikelas umum harus menerapkan pembelajaran yang interaktif
- Guru pada sekolah penyelenggara pendidikan inklusif dituntut melakukan kolaborasi dengan ahlinya dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evalusi untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus
Dengan diterapkannya program sekolah inklusi ini diharapkan tidak ada lagi diskriminasi terhadap anak berkebutuhan khusus dengan anak biasa di sekolah, agar semua anak bisa mendapatkan pendidikan yang layak sesuai dengan kemampuan mereka dalam memahami pembelajaran.
Tujuan diadakannya pendidikan inklusif yaitu untuk memberikan kesempatan seluas-luasnya kepada semua anak, termasuk anak berkebutuhan khusus supaya dapat mengakses pendidikan yang layak sesuai kebutuhannya. Membantu mempercepat program wajib belajar pendidikan dasar 12 tahun.
Kesimpulannya, semua anak baik yang berkebutuhan khusus atau normal layak mendapatkan pendidikan yang baik, lingkungan yang baik dan guru yang baik. Sehingga anak berkebutuhan khusus bisa ikut berpartisipasi dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat nya dan tidak tertinggal.
Sistem pendidikan inkusif tahun 2023 diharapkan bisa lebih baik lagi dari sebelumnya, menjadikan siswanya berkarakter dan cerdas.
