Katakanlah, Kekasih
Bagaimana bisa surga itu terbangun di atas punggungmu?
Bagaimana bisa matahari tak terbit dari ufuk timur tetapi terbit dari ufuk matamu?
Serta bagaimana bisa sungai Nil mengalir alun di nadimu?

Tuhan begitu teliti menciptakan keindahan yang kritis sepertimu
Begitu sani, membuat rinduku hampir habis garansi
Sekali lagi, aku sudah tak mampu lagi menggandeng anak-anak rindu
Mereka semakin sulit untuk kuajak menyebrang di perempatan penantian

Maka, sampai dimanakah kita?
Ayat-ayat Tuhan kulafadzkan dan kupikir aku bisa menemukan isyarat di sana
Rentetan doa telah khusyu’ kurapalkan
Semoga Tuhan mengabulkan doa-doa para penyair miskin puisi ini ….
